It is time to explore the man cave…from a diabetes perspective. We may see differences across genders in approaches to self-care, hormonal changes, specific complications, use of diabetes technology, worries and fears related to living with diabetes. What are the diabetes challenges unique to the experience of being male? Another great question! This session will dive into case studies highlighting some of the unique concerns for men with type 1 diabetes and practical tips for a sensitive and empathetic approach to help reduce the burden of living with diabetes.
